Claypool Gold took over the Dillion Amphitheater for a 2 night extravaganza with The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade and the almighty Primus!
Empire West Live was there for night 1 and it was an experience!
The night started with Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade featuring Sean Ono Lennon (yep John Lennon and Yoko Ono's son!) playing what can only be described as Claypool Gold! The trippy intros set the stage for a night full of cosmic mischief only Colonel Les can provide.
As the sun started to set behind the stage the nearby wildfire smoke started to settle into the amazing
view and created an unforgettable sunset to the tunes of The Claypool Lennon Delirium.
On to the mighty Primus! The original Les CLaypool mind warp got the entire venue on their feet for a
mosh pit only Primus can provide.
As a concert photographer my goal is to capture shows without being seen, or getting in the way of any fans.....but, somehow Mr. Claypool noticed my white(ish) beard and as they started the 2nd song of the set he turned to Ler and said “Hey look there’s Santy Claus getting ready to take my picture” You'll see him laughing at Les's comment in the photos.
