Dwight Yoakam - The Mavericks - 49 Winchester | Ford Amphitheater | 5-9-25
Dwight Yoakam's Cosmic Roundup & Rodeo Tour came to the Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs on May 9, 2025.
It was a masterclass in country music, blending classic hits with fresh energy against the stunning backdrop of the Rockies.
Dwight delivered a high-energy set that blended honky-tonk classics with rockabilly flair. Backed by stunning mountain views and a packed, enthusiastic crowd, the evening felt like a celebration of country music at its finest.
Opening acts 49 Winchester and The Mavericks set the tone beautifully. 49 Winchester brought raw Americana soul, while The Mavericks delivered their trademark genre-blending sound, energizing the audience with Latin-infused rhythms.
Yoakam opened with “Keep on the Sunny Side” and ran through fan favorites like “Guitars, Cadillacs,” “Little Sister,” and “Streets of Bakersfield.” A standout was his playful cover of Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” which had the whole amphitheater singing along.
With the sun setting behind the Rockies, Dwight’s timeless voice and stage presence turned a great show into a truly unforgettable night.
